Brrrp (the “App”) puts your privacy first. The App uses the camera to recognize your facial expression so you can turn off alarms, but never stores or transmits any face-related data. It uses the network to download expression-challenge content and to send anonymous statistics that help improve the service, but none of that includes your face or any personally identifying information.
ARFaceTrackingConfiguration, which runs on the TrueDepth camera), reading blendShape coefficients — numeric values indicating expression intensity, such as “mouth-corner raise 0.8.” They are used for real-time judging and then immediately discarded.This information is stored only on your device without any sign-up or account, and is deleted when you remove the App.
To improve challenge difficulty and usability, the App collects anonymous, non-identifying statistics.
These statistics do not identify any individual and are never combined with face data. The statistics are stored and processed by a third-party cloud service (Supabase Inc.).
The App downloads expression-challenge (pack and expression) content from a third-party cloud service (Supabase Inc.) to keep it up to date. This communication does not include any face or personally identifying information.
To offer the App for free, it also shows non-personalized banner ads via Google AdMob. Because these ads are non-personalized, the App does not track you (no App Tracking Transparency prompt) and does not profile you for ad personalization. Google may process limited information — such as device type, coarse (country-level) region, and ad interactions — to deliver ads and prevent fraud, but face/expression data is never used for advertising.
The App does not sell personal information. It uses a cloud infrastructure service (Supabase Inc.) for content delivery and anonymous statistics, and Google AdMob for non-personalized banner ads. In neither case is any face data or personally identifying information shared.

You can change permissions anytime in iOS Settings > Brrrp. If you deny the camera, you can dismiss alarms via manual dismissal instead of the expression challenge, when enabled in settings.
The App is not directed at children and does not collect personally identifying information from children.
Information stored on your device (alarms and settings) is deleted immediately when you remove it in the App or delete the App. Anonymous statistics are retained, in a form that cannot identify any individual, solely to improve the service.
Because your face data and app settings exist only on your device, you have full control and can delete them entirely by removing them in the App or deleting the App. Anonymous statistics are not tied to any individual and therefore cannot be individually identified or deleted.
